Exploring How Technology Impacts Social Norms
Supporting education and innovation
Learning is a life-long journey that requires both determination and will. Professors need to celebrate student diversity and their world-view to aid in conveying a message. Teachers need to also be mentors who can bring even the most mundane subject matter alive with their own passion for learning, adding a global perspective and the use of current technology to have the best opportunity to engage students. I both develop and use existing interactive tools for students and teaching case studies representative of my student population. Some examples are Artificial Reality/Virtual Reality, Generative Artificial Intelligence, Kahoot, Quizlet, and cyber specific tools: The Clark Center, Hackthebox, TryHackMe, etc.

Continuing Education for Teachers
Continuing education programs to address the needs of teachers and their student communities is a vital component for educational growth in our combined learning journey. From training on the latest technology to new pedagogical methods, I aim to help teachers make their classrooms engaging and successful.
Support for Communities
Education transpires within the context of a larger community. It today’s current climate of dismay directed toward the value of institutions of higher education it is more important than ever to focus on broader transformative impacts. My approach extends beyond Penn State to help ensure students have the necessary support to do their best learning certainly, but also to connect academic research to the broader societal impact. I attempt to address societal issues through research grants and funding sources with measurable community outcomes.
